Yukon Church began as a cooperative effort of more than twenty Southern Baptist Churches. Baptist churches from Central and Grady Associations came together to plant this new work in hopes of establishing a God honoring, bible believing, life transforming church body. Yukon Church met in a rented facility for more than six years before moving into a new building in March of 2009. Since then the church has continued to worship together and grow in the Lord. The sweet spirit that He has blessed us with permeates everything we do.
Over the past 15 years the Lord has continued to bring people together and develop this body as He sees fit. We continue to seek to Build On The BEST! Come join us this Sunday at 10:00 am and learn more about how the Lord has led us each step of the way.
Yukon Church affirms the Holy Bible as the inspired, infallible, everlasting, Word of God and the basis of our beliefs. We voluntarily subscribe to the doctrinal statements of The Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
Our Method – Building On The BEST!
What does the BEST mean? It means that we are seeking to establish, frame, and construct each aspect of the life of this church body on Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We each voluntarily submit to God and seek to manifest our cooperative spirit through our willingness to:
Build bridges through relationships
Every person within this body of believers is not only important, but necessary. Each of us therefore, strive to build relationships with one another and with those of our community.
Encounter God in worship and ministry
We are involved in weekly times of individual, family, and corporate worship, as we take advantage of God given opportunities to serve Him by serving others. We actively involve ourselves in praying for one another, the body of Christ, and those who have yet to receive Christ.
Share the Good News in Yukon and beyond
We regularly share our faith as we go about our daily lives. We actively support mission work around the world through our consistent giving to the cooperative program and other productive ministries.
Train each member to be a master builder
We continually encourage one another to grow in the knowledge and understanding of our Lord and Savior. Through a planned course of study and dialogue, we strive to grow in our ability to serve God and humanity.
